Welcome back to the eighth and final season of The Missing in its current form. Our first episode tells the tragic story of Rodrigo Falcon, who vanished from the picturesque Scottish town of Aviemore, in December 2022. Rodrigo was originally from Argentina. He loved travel and adventure and these interests brought him to Aviemore, whose lakes and mountains attract thousands of tourists every year. Rodrigo was a keen skier and for a while worked at Cairngorm Mountain, a ski resort 11 miles outside of town, before eventually getting a gig pulling pints at a bar called the Pine Marten. This episode hears from Katie Jahacy, co-owner of the Pine Marten and Rodrigo’s close friend. Katie brings us through the events leading up to Rodrigo’s disappearance and its aftermath, highlighting the outpouring of grief from the inhabitants of Aviemore that resulted.
