# 726 - Derek Trucks on Eric Clapton, Duane Allman & His Guitar Heroes

About this episode

I sit down with Derek Trucks and basically nerd out about music for two hours. We talk about him finding his thing before he was old enough to understand it, playing with the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, and falling in love with Susan Tedeschi over a shared obsession with music. Derek also breaks out his Ass Pocket Whiskey, breaks down John Coltrane, tells me about getting his first Allman Brothers money stolen, touring with a 12-piece band, cutting your teeth before the whole world is watching, and why the music still has to feel dangerous.
