"MK Confidential" fades in on a motel room in Daytona Beach, Florida. On January 22nd, 2009, George Anthony takes about seventy pills, drinks as much beer as he can, and begins writing an eight-page letter he never finishes. Losing his granddaughter has brought him to the edge. Two and a half years later, a prosecutor reads that letter aloud to the twelve people deciding whether his daughter is responsible. Megyn Kelly tracks the defense case through the trial. Lead defense attorney Jose Baez tells the jury that Caylee was not murdered, but instead drowned in the aboveground pool behind the family's house, and her grandfather found her. He accuses the men in the Anthony house of abusing Casey. Both men deny it, and no witness ever supports it. Cindy Anthony testifies that searches for “chloroform” on the family computer were hers, made while she looked into why her Yorkie kept eating bamboo leaves in the backyard; her employer's records put her at the office both afternoons.
