In Part Two of True Sunlight #165, Mandy and Liz talk about what went down when Pastor JP Miller's most prized church member assets — a couple in law enforcement — finally saw the light. JP not only seemed to think the Horry County Police Department existed to promptly respond to his needs and accept his version of the truth, he seemed to believe he could turn the department against one of their own in retaliation. In 2024, JP and faithful sidekick Tricia Ross went after a former church member's job at HCPD — because the officer allegedly sinned by gossiping about "God's anointed". They appealed to now-former Deputy Chief Brandon Strickland — he who was “working in the shadows” of the Scott Spivey investigation — and Brandon apparently hopped to it.
