On March 21, 2023, 41-year-old attorney Steve Cozzi kissed his husband goodbye and went to work. There was nothing special about that day. He had a telephonic hearing for one of his cases scheduled for later that morning, and he had a frozen chicken thawing in the sink for dinner. He got to the office, put on some music, and started writing emails. At 9:50, he left his office to go to the bathroom. None of his co-workers, friends, or family ever saw him again. Five days later, Dr. Tomasz Kosowski, the plaintiff in the case that had the hearing the day Steve disappeared was arrested for his murder, but Steve’s body wasn’t found.
