We'll Bootc About That (Season 7 Episode 2)

About this episode

In this episode we start out bantering about Gentoo and how it's not ebuilding/packaging Chromium anymore! Then, in the meat of the show, we open with Firefox and its new 'facelift' which really just turns out to be a theme you can disable, a little more on the Chromium/Gentoo front, and Orion is now DEAD?! Why? Next up, Cloudflare is diving into the ACME protocol business and directly competing against Let's Encrypt and the others that were doing just fine by themselves. Is this just a conspiracy to upsell you? And finally, our questions about Caddy got responses, and we have to learn a whole lot to be able to answer them. We're one step closer to deciding how we're going to solve this problem. But until then, Caddy stays crusty. More opinions wanted! Is Fedora really EVERYONE'S favorite? James Dean will fix everything. 0:00 Cold Open 2:03 Firefox Comes Full Squircle 35:27 Let's EnCloudflare 57:16 Y'all Really Like Fedora 1:16:08 Next Time 1:22:59 Stinger The Video Version https://youtu.be/3HFXc7JPsyc Coming up in this episode • Firefox got its hair did... again • Let's Encrypt's days are numbered • Look at the little Bootc's 📣Announcements📣
