Sinclair Ferguson: Why Are Preachers So Angry?

About this episode

Should preaching leave Christians encouraged by Christ, or exhausted from being beaten down? Jon Moffitt examines a powerful clip from Sinclair Ferguson on what faithful preaching should actually sound like. Ferguson’s wisdom challenges preaching that constantly scolds, condemns, or leaves congregations feeling spiritually defeated. For church members, this offers a helpful standard for recognizing Christ-centered preaching. For pastors, it raises an important question about whether the pulpit is feeding Christ’s sheep or simply whipping them.
