On Monday, September 10, 2001, Sneha Anne Philip, a 31-year-old doctor, was seen on CCTV shopping at Century 21, a discount department store near the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. She paid for her purchases using a credit card, left the store, and has never been seen again. The next morning, the world changed when nearly 3,000 people were killed in the September 11 terror attacks. For years, Sneha’s family battled New York City to have her name added to the list of victims. Sneha Philip has been given two different dates of death, but no trace of her has ever been found. Did she die on September 11 trying to save people, as her family contends, or were the attacks simply a coincidence that has kept her fate a mystery for the past 25 years? If you have any information about the disappearance of Dr. Sneha Anne Philip, please contact the NYPD Missing Persons Squad at 212-694-7781. Tips can be kept anonymous. You can also call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
