Eric Nam on The Traitors, New Album 'Confessions of a Lonely Heart,' & Avatar: The Last Airbender

About this episode

Eric Nam is back! We haven't had the singer, songwriter, actor, entrepreneur, producer and podcasting powerhouse on the show since 2022 — although Zach is convinced it's been seven years. What is time anyway! Somehow Eric looks younger than ever, despite having approximately 17 different careers. From growing up in Atlanta and singing in choir to becoming a major star in South Korea, building DIVE Studios and making his way back into the American entertainment industry, Eric reflects on his unconventional career, the changing relationship between K-pop and Western pop, and the power of curiosity. He also talks about his fourth album, 'Confessions of a Lonely Heart,' how heartbreak and broken trust have influenced his music, and why loneliness doesn't necessarily mean being sad or unfulfilled. Plus, Eric takes us behind the scenes of 'The Traitors,' including his initial reservations about joining the cast, getting stabbed in the back, AND secretly filming a music video with his fellow contestants. We also get into voicing Aang in 'Avatar: The Last Airbender,' auditioning for Hollywood roles, his experiences with 'K-Pop: The Debut,' and executive producing DAYOUNG's solo album.
