About this episode

The October celebration of condemned and controversial films continues with a film that Drusilla and Josh did NOT enjoy, aka Lars von Trier’s Antichrist. From wiki: “Antichrist (stylized as ANTICHRIS♀) is a 2009 art horror film[5] written and directed by Lars von Trier. It stars Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg as a married couple who experience the accidental death of their infant son, after which they retreat to a cabin in the woods to grieve, where the man experiences strange visions and the woman manifests increasingly violent sexual behavior and sadomasochism. The narrative is divided into a prologue, four chapters, and an epilogue.” ALSO DISCUSSED: You Can See Everything, Wildwood, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Rehearsal, Digger, A Kind of Hush: Cinema of Ambient Dread at Philosophical Research Society and Next of Kin (1982), lesbian vampires, Halloween and ad libbed dialogue, Dogme 1995, and more.  NEXT WEEK: Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
